  • 450 g breakfast sausage pork or turkey
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups bread cubes slightly stale
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish.
  • Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into pieces. Drain excess fat.
  • Spread the bread cubes evenly in the baking dish and top with cooked sausage.
  • Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper together and pour evenly over the dish.
  • Sprinkle cheese on top and bake for 40–45 minutes until set and lightly golden.

Notes

This casserole can be assembled ahead of time and baked fresh the next morning.
