Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cups iceberg lettuce chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced pickles
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • 1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat, then season with salt and pepper. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • 2. While the beef is cooking, prepare the salad ingredients. Chop the iceberg lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large bowl.
  • 3. Dice the pickles, chop the onions, and shred the cheddar cheese.
  • 4. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, relish, and vinegar to make the Big Mac sauce. Whisk until smooth.
  • 5. To assemble the salad, layer the lettuce, beef, pickles, onions, and cheese in a large bowl. Drizzle the Big Mac sauce over the top and toss gently to combine.
  • 6. Serve immediately and enjoy your healthier Big Mac alternative!

Notes

Feel free to add extra toppings like bacon, avocado, or croutons for more flavor and texture.
For a vegetarian version, swap the ground beef for grilled portobello mushrooms or a veggie burger patty.
