Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz rotini or penne pasta
  • 1 cup Caesar dressing homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup croutons
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped romaine lettuce optional
  • 1/2 cup grilled chicken or bacon optional

Instructions
 

  • 1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool down.
  • 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta with Caesar dressing, tossing to coat evenly.
  • 3. Add croutons and freshly grated parmesan cheese to the pasta and toss again.
  • 4. For extra protein, you can mix in grilled chicken or bacon.
  • 5. If desired, stir in some chopped romaine lettuce for extra crunch.
  • 6. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, omit the chicken or bacon.
You can make this recipe ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to 2 days.
For a lighter version, use whole wheat pasta or add extra veggies like roasted bell peppers or zucchini.
