Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking soda. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until the dough comes together.
Divide the dough into three equal portions. Dye each portion with food coloring to match the colors of candy corn (yellow, orange, and white).
Roll each portion into a log and layer them together in the shape of a candy corn. Slice into 1-inch pieces and place on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden. Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
Feel free to use different food coloring for a custom Halloween color scheme!
