Ingredients
  

Tuna Salad Base

  • 2 cans tuna in water drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise light or regular
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 celery stalk finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion finely diced
  • 1 ripe avocado sliced
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper freshly ground

Serving Suggestions

  • whole grain bread or crackers optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine drained tuna, mayonnaise, and lemon juice. Mix with a fork until creamy.
  • Add chopped celery, red onion, and parsley. Stir gently to incorporate.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust lemon or mayo if desired.
  • Arrange fresh lettuce leaves in a bowl or plate. Spoon the tuna salad on top.
  • Garnish with avocado slices and cherry tomatoes. Serve immediately with whole grain bread or crackers.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding diced pickles, a touch of Dijon mustard, or a sprinkle of paprika. This salad keeps well refrigerated for up to two days.
