Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 450 g breakfast sausage pork or turkey
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk whole or semi-skimmed
  • 2 cups bread cubes slightly stale
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • Brown the sausage in a pan over medium heat until fully cooked, then drain excess fat.
  • Spread bread cubes in the baking dish and layer the cooked sausage on top.
  • Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper together and pour evenly over the dish.
  • Top with shredded cheese and bake for 40–45 minutes until golden and set in the center.

Notes

This casserole can be assembled the night before, covered, and baked fresh in the morning.
